Graphics Influences- Fonts

The 'children of the Corn' titles are sinister and bold. However the flecks of blood are a little over the top and would possibly be to unsubtle to fit in with the tone of our film.

The graphics used in 'The Orphanage are a little more subtle with relatively plane text on a black background. the weathered effect of the font would fit well with the tone of our film. However the 'rose stalk' that appears to extend from the latter A would not.

'The Others' has a slightly more modern font  but it is still relatively plane text on a dark background. this would fit in the tone of the film as it is a relatively modern horror. The light that seems to radiate from the letters gives it a modern paranormal feel.
The font for 'The Hills Have Eyes' is also relatively simple. The block capital letters make it standout even thought it is against a coloured background. The letters seem to fade into an almost red colour (especially the S in hills) and they seem to vary slightly in size making the text more interesting than if it was just plane text. This may suit our film if it were put on to a relatively plane background.
